This is an electronic unit operating on 230v ac. The unit is fully isolated from the telephone line. The unit switches on a night lamp at the instant a call is received & gets switched off after a predetermined time when the call gets disconnected. If the call is answered the light remains on till the call is in progress the light gets switched off after a predetermined time after the call is over.
