The system consists of a Solar Panel , Battery , Charger with Inverter and Led lamps. The Solar Panel is mounted on the top of the house at a suitable location so that it receives direct sunlight from 8 am to 6 pm. The Battery and Invertor are kept in the control room and the panel is connected to the battery via Charger. During daytime the panel generates voltage which is used to charge the battery . During night or during power breakdowns the invertor can be switched on so that the Led lamps glow. For auto switch on of lamps ,mains failure sensing and a ambient light sensing unit is provided , which switches on the light automatically. The led lamps are manufactured using clusters of super bright wide angle diffused white leds. The lamps have a very low consumption ,long life and directly fit in the holders used for conventional lamps. Tube lights and street lights are also available in waterproof fittings. Led lamps operating on DC are also available and in this case invertor is not required.
